The Cohasset Sailing Club is a nonprofit community boating program and facility located on the South Shore of MA. We train approximately 200 children each summer in a fleet of Capris, Bics, Lasers and 420’s. We are currently seeking an experienced, mature Program Director for the 10-week, 2018 season to manage the day to day operation of the junior training program, race team and adult sailing program. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, motivational and organizational skills, be able to delegate, and be responsible for various administrative tasks including payroll, scheduling, and supervising and disciplining a team of 15 instructors. Ideally, the Program Director would work with the executive committee in late winter to plan programming. Salary is commensurate with experience. Housing not provided.

The Cohasset Sailing Club is also seeking candidates for the positions of Race Coach and Assistant Race Coach.

Instructional Staff Qualifications

Head Instructor and Race Coach – US Sailing Level II certificate encouraged
– US Sailing Level III certificate encouraged
– Current CPR/First Aid
– Entering junior year of college or older
Senior Instructor – US Sailing Level I certificate required
– Current CPR/First Aid
– Entering freshman year of college or older
Instructor – US Sailing Level I certificate required
– Current CPR/First Aid
– Entering senior year of high school
Instructors in Training (IIT) – Completion of the 4 year program and two years of race team participation
– US Sailing Safe Power Boating or equivalent
– Current CPR/First Aid
– 16 years old and entering junior year of high school
